Microsoft has introduced new artificial intelligence tools in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit to help organizations improve their fundraising and marketing efforts while reducing costs and boosting efficiency.
These new AI features include a fundraising performance dashboard that provides real-time, interactive views of campaign performance, donor conversion rates, and other fundraising data. It’s powered by Microsoft Power BI’s visualization platform.
In addition, Dynamics 365 Marketing enables users to easily segment donors using plain language queries, helping to identify how donors prefer to be contacted and when they prefer to contribute. Viva Sales AI Copilot can automate personalized communications, reminders, and recommendations.
Justin Spelhuag of Microsoft Philanthropies emphasized their commitment to working closely with nonprofits and their partners to develop AI capabilities that address nonprofits’ most significant challenges while enhancing their potential for future success.
Microsoft also has plans to create a new AI-powered donor propensity model. This model will use data to understand who is most likely to donate, and it will be refined through collaboration with a select group of nonprofits, with a planned release in the second half of 2023.
Spelhuag highlighted that by using user-friendly AI-powered solutions, nonprofits can gain better insights into their supporters, increase donor loyalty and lifetime giving, and customize fundraising efforts based on individual donor preferences, all while ensuring the security of sensitive data.
